The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has many positive impacts. There is only one negative is the misuse of fund in construction of toilets in rural areas in many states. The Clean India Mission is a successful scheme. It provided funds to urban areas to dispose garbage and construct more public toilets in public places. The scheme needs more fund to achieve its objectives. The tourists destinations are to be included under the Clean India Mission. Cleaning of water bodies should also be included in this mission. But there is contradictory steps taken by Delhi Government and Ministry of Urban Affairs and Ministry of Environment and Forests . All these authorities allowed to cut 16500 matured trees in South Delhi to construct houses for bureaucrats. Delhi is already under air pollution of very dangerous level. Delhi need not cut a single tree in any area. It should rather plant trees in open spaces , river banks, stream banks and in the campus of various institutions. The trees can control the air pollution and check the heat wave in summer. But in one way we talk of Clean India Mission. But in other way the Government cut matured trees in Delhi. Prime Minister must intervene and stop this barbaric action. Congress party and Rahul Gandhi must act immediately to stop the felling of matured trees in south Delhi. All the good things of Clean India Mission may go to waste with such step by the authorities in Delhi. Save the trees in Delhi to supply oxygen to the atmosphere of Delhi. Then only the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan may be successful.
