Present age:-
Mala's age = "x" years
Vani's age = "4x" years

Age after 10 years :-
Mala's age = x +10 years
Vani's age = 4x + 10 years

4 [ x + 10] = 2 [ 4x + 10]
4x + 40 = 8x + 20

8x - 4x = 40 - 20
4x = 20
x = 5

Mala's age = 5 years
Vani's age = 4x = 20 years
