area of cut part  = 16 cm²

area of sheet is 2484 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

given data

cut out squares = 2 cm × 2 cm

square sheet of size = 50 cm ×  50 cm

solution

when we cut out squares each corner than

after that we get remaining area will be

as area of square is square of side   .............1

so area of sheet is = 50²

area of full sheet = 2500 cm²

when cut four corner than

area of cut part is = 4 × 2²

area of cut part  = 16 cm²

so area of sheet will be = area of full sheet - area of cut part

area of sheet will be = 2500 - 16

area of sheet will be = 2484 cm²
