•In India unemployment can be categorized as in rural and urban areas
•Rural unemployment includes seasonal and disguised unemployment and urban unemployment includes educated unemployment.
•Most of the educated people are attracted by the territory sector where jobs are limited.
•There is scope for development in the primary and secondary sector but they are largely ignored.
•Unemployment exists in these sector and also in the territory sector due to the competition and limited seats.
•Unemployment leads to wastage of manpower resources.
•A large number of people represented with low income and productivity are counted as employed.
•They appear work throughout the year but in terms of potential and income it is not adequate for them.
•Unemployment tends to increase the economic overload.
