▪ They are living, thin walled isodiametric cells.

▪ Cell wall thin and made up of cellulose.

▪ Either closely packed or small intercelluar spaces.

▪ It performs the functions like photosynthesis, storage and secretion..


☆☆ COLLENCHYMA ☆☆

▪ It is formed of living, closely packed cells.

▪ Its cells are thickened at corners due to deposition of cellulose and pectin.

▪ It provide mechanical support to the growing parts of the plants.

▪ It is either found in homogeneous layer or patches.

▪ They are in many shapes.

▪ No Intracellular Space.

▪ They have chloroplasts.

▪ They are Cylindrical in Shape.

▪ They are in Branched.

▪ Here, Striation Present.
