Hinsberg's reagent :- Hinsberg method is used for separation of amines mixtures. It involves the treatment of the mixture with benzene sulphonyl chloride, i.e., Hinsberg's reagent(C6H5SO2Cl).
Hinsberg's reagent reacts with primary amine and also with secondary amine . but it doesn't react with tertiary amine. but tertiary butylamine reacts with one mole of methyl iodide to form a salt.
so, structure of compoun X is structure of tertiary butylamine. e.g., (CH3)3CNH2
