Given:

In Triangle ABC, AB=AC

To Prove:

Angle ABC=Angle ACB.

Construction:

Draw AD bisector of angle CAB which meets on BC at D.So,angle BAD = angle CAD...(i)

Proof:

In triangle ADB and ADC

AB=AC...(Given)

AD=AD....(Common)

angle BAD=angle CAD..(By.. (i)..)

Hence,triangle ABD is congruent to triangle ACD.

angle ABD= ACD..(CPCT)

and angle ABC =ACB.
