hi there altitude of equilateral triangle = √3/2a
and if we take side of triangle as a then its area =1/2×base×altitude
=1/2×a×(√3/2)a
so area of equilateral triangle =√3/4a^2
if it help you please mark it as branlist ans

namandadhich: hi make correct that puthagoris there will AD^2 NOT AB^2
namandadhich: A^2=(A/2)^2+AD^2
namandadhich: A^2=(A^2/4 )+AD^2
namandadhich: A^2-(A^2/4)=AD^2
namandadhich: now take lcm
namandadhich: (4a^2+-a^2)/4=AD^2
namandadhich: 3a^2/4=AD^2
namandadhich: AD=√(3a^2/4)
namandadhich: AD = √3a/2
namandadhich: now i think you understand
