suppose in trip. ABC, AD is the median. Draw AM perpendicular to BC. Ar. of tri. ABD=1/2×b×h. 1/2×BD×AM......(1). Also ar. of tri. ADC= 1/2×BD×AM......(2). From 1 and 2 ar.ABD=ar.ADC. Hope it helped......
