\cot x+\cot y=\\\\\dfrac{\cos x}{\sin x}+\dfrac{\cos y}{\sin y}=\\\\\dfrac{\cos x\sin y}{\sin x\sin y}+\dfrac{\cos y\sin x}{\sin x\sin y}=\\\\\dfrac{\cos x\sin y+\cos y\sin x}{\sin x\sin y}=\\\\\dfrac{\sin (x+y)}{\sin x\sin y}
