Ans:- Mumbai receives more rainfall because it is situated in the windward side of the western ghat while pune falls on the leeward side of the western ghat

Pune lies on the leeward side of western ghats where as Mumbai on the windward side,which tends to have more rainfall too.the mumbai city is located near the Arabian sea where as Pune on Deccan pleatue.
