Answer: Profit 7.8%

Step-by-step explanation:

36 bananas bought at Rs 150/-

6 pcs were found to be rotten .Therefore now the quantity is 30

Therefore the cost price of 30 pcs is 150/30 = Rs 5 each.

He sold 3/5th of the quantity that is 3/5 of 30 = 18 pcs

Selling price of 18 pcs is at 15% profit

Therefore the selling price is Rs5+15% = Rs5.75

Balance that is 30-18= 12 pcs are sold at 3% loss

The selling price of the balance quantity is Rs5-3% = Rs 4.85

Total selling price of 30pcs is (Rs5.75*18 )+(Rs4.85*12)= Rs 161.70

Selling price - Cost price = Profit

Rs 161.70- Rs 150 = Rs 11.70

Profit percentage is 11.7/150 =7.8%
