1) the two boys were useful to the narrator in many ways, they showed them around the town as tourist guides, got them tickets for the opera, told them about good restaurants, helped them in getting american cigarrets and ran their errands.

3)Yes, nightingale is a brainless bird. It falls prey to the evilness of the frog.she should have been more confident and proud of singing her own song but she blindly followed what the frog said. She did not understand why the frog made her sing day and night. She paid no heed to the fact thatthe frog was slowly and gradually destroying her and her talent.
