1.)

2m(m-24) = 50

=> 2m^2 - 48m = 50

=> 2m^2 - 48m - 50 = 0

=> m^2 - 24m - 25 = 0

=> m^2 + m - 25m - 25 = 0

=> m(m+1) -25(m+1) = 0

=> (m+1)(m-25) = 0

For (m+1)(m-25) to be equal to zero,

Either, m + 1 = 0 => m = -1

or, m - 25 = 0 => m = 25

Thus, m = -1 or 25

2.)

25m^2 = 9

=> (5m)^2 - (3)^2 = 0

=> (5m-3)(5m+3) = 0

For (5m-3)(5m+3) to be equal to zero,

Either 5m - 3 = 0 => m = 3/5

or, 5m + 3 = 0

=> m = -3/5

Thus, m = ±3/5
