it is given that perimeter of semi circle is 72cm...

formula- 2πr/2=πr

nowA/Q

πr=72

22r/7=72

r=72*7/22

r=504/22

r=22.90

now d=2r

d=2*22.90

d=45.8

now area of square= side*side

=45.8*45.8

=2097.64

Answer:

  • Area of square = 2098.55 cm sq (Approx)

Step By Step Explanation:

Given:

  • Perimeter of semicircle = 72 cm

To Find:

  • Area of square drawn on its diameter.

Now, we know that

=> Perimeter of semicircle = πr

=> 72 = 22/7 × r

=> 72 × 7 = 22r

=> 22r = 504

=> r = 504/22

=> r = 22.90 cm.

Now, Diameter = 2r

=> Diameter = 2 × 22.90

=> Diameter = 45.81 cm

Now, we know that square is drawn on diameter. So its diameter be the side of square.

=> Area of square = side × side

=> Area of square = 45.81 × 45.81

=> Area of square = 2098.55 cm sq.

Hence, Area of square = 2098.55 cm sq. (Approx)
