Q a boy run 100 m along the east then turns to his left at right angle and runs for 50 m along the north direction. find the distance and magnitude of displacement of the body.

TPS: magnitude of displacement is 111.8 m.
magnitude means the numerical value.

DISTANCE IS 100+50=150 M
DISPLACEMENT =ROOT OF (100^2+50^2)
=111.802 M TOWARDS NORTH EAST.

singhdam1819: what about magnitude
rileybiers: ??
singhdam1819: you have not found the magnitude
rileybiers: OK
rileybiers: OK?
singhdam1819: so are you ansering it further or not

the total distance traveled by the boy =100 m+50 m
                                                       =150 m .
the total displacement is the =111.8 m                           i have got this answer by the process of Pythagoras theorem in which perpendicular is 50 m and base is 100 m and then i have joined the line of perpendicular from the line of base
hope that this will help u.

singhdam1819: what is its magnitude ??
rileybiers: WAT MAGNITUDE
singhdam1819: that was in tems of i cap and j cap remember vector..
singhdam1819: terms*
pahiroy1221: magnitude means the measurement and i have written the magnitude
singhdam1819: ya ya i got it thanks
singhdam1819: that was my bad
pahiroy1221: plz mark it as the brainiest
singhdam1819: will see
