The parallelogram law of vector addition states that "if two vectorsare represented by the two adjacent sides of a parallelogram by both magnitude and direction from a point, then their resultant can be represented by the diagonal of the parallelogramfrom the same point."

Derive parallelogram law of vector addition.
It is basic vector addition and another way of viewing the ‘triangle law of addition’.
Imagine adding two vectors. Place them originating from the same point, and regard the vectors as two adjacent sides of a parallelogram. Complete the parallelogram. The sum of the two vectors will be the diagonal of the parallelogram that terminates at the original point. (their difference will be the other diagonal)
