as l and m are parallel,

their alternate angles are equal

angle y + 38 = 180 (linear pair)

therefore y=180-38

that is, y=142

angle x + 76= 180 (linear pair)

therefore x=180-76

that is, x=104

therefore x=104 degree

y=142 degree
