Q. Mr. Sharma bought 30,000 watches for ₹ 1500,000. If he sold one third of them at profit of 15%, one third at loss of 10%. At what price he should sell the remaining matches so as to get a profit of 20% on the whole transaction?​

Answer:

57.5 at per watches

cost of 1 watch =1500000÷30000 =50

total profit at 2/3 watches =5%

so we need 15% more profit on 1/3 (10,000) watches

more profit = 50,000×15/100 =7500

selling price = 57500

it means 57.50 rupees at per watches
