Q . Preperation of ethers by acid dehydration if secondary or tertiary alcohols is not a suitable method .give reasons.

Secondary and tertiary alkyl containing alcohols undergo elimination reaction instead of SN2 reaction, because of steric hindrance in them. Hence, these alcohols are no suitable for ether preparation.
