pollution of water is caused by discharging waste in to water , oil leakages, human activities such as animal bathing and so on
it can be controlled by treating waste water before discharging them int seas, oceans etc

Pollution is increasing day by day. Regardless of the various government projects being run in many rivers, there is no sign of stop or stop water pollution. Whom do we blame? Many factors cause water pollution and reduce overall water quality of the river. Some of the most serious contributing factors are:

• Industrial wastes, mix of chemicals, heavy metals are discharged all over the water and it is difficult to clean them.

• Agricultural waste, chemicals, ferretilisers, pesticides used in agriculture have polluted the river's water bodies.

• Rainfall of nature also comes with pollutants because it is through polluted air. We call this acid rain, which leaves the harmful substances on reaching the soil.

• Household waste and sewage which we throw in the rivers, increase the level of pollution.

.

The Ganga cleaning work proposal was launched in India in 1985. The main objective of the project was to reduce the level of pollution in the river. Movement movement activities covered under the project were:

• solid waste management.

• Establishment of sewage treatment plan.

• Cremation Establishment

• Development of the river front.

• Provision of low cost sanitation facilities

• To create public awareness

Groundwater pollution from insecticides causes fertility damage within the wildlife in the ecosystem.

Sewage, fertilizer, and agricultural run-off are organic matter which increases the growth of algae when water is released, which reduces oxygen. Low oxygen levels are not able to support most indigenous organisms in the region and therefore harass natural ecological balance in rivers and lakes.

Swimming and drinking in polluted water are the reasons for skin diseases and health issues like cancer, reproductive problems, typhoid fever and stomach disorders. This is why it is very important to ensure that your water is clean and safe to drink.

Industrial chemicals and agricultural pesticides ending in aquatic environment can be deposited in fish which are then eaten by humans. Fishes are easily poisoned with metals, which are then eaten by humans as well. Mercury is particularly poisonous for young children and women. Mercury has been found to interfere with the development of nervous system in fetus and young children.

The ecosystem is destroyed by the increasing temperature in the water, because due to warm temperatures the coral rocks are affected by the bleaching effect. In addition, hot water forces indigenous water species to find cooler water in other areas, resulting in ecological harmful changes in the affected area.

Man-made litter, like plastic bags and 6-pack rings, can be caught by aquatic animals and killed with knees.

Flooding due to accumulation of solid waste and soil erosion in streams and rivers in water pollution.

Spreading oil in water causes the animals to die or face it. Oil is not dissolved in water, hence it causes knees in fish and birds
