Secondary Growth :- Growth of root and stems in length with the help of apical meristem is called primary growth. Apart from primary growth most dicotyledons plant exhibit an increase in girth called secondary Growth.
Tissue involved in secondary growth are 2 lateral meristems: Vascular cambium and corck cambium.

<> Procambium :-

developed from apical meristem and produced Vascular or fascicular tissue system i.e primary vascular tissue.

<> Vascular cambium :-

Meristematic layer responsible for cutting off secondary Vascular tissue i.e. secondary xylem and phloem is called Vascular cambium. in young stem.
