President of India

It is the president of India who appoints the Election Commissioner of the Election Commission. Not only this but also the two other Commissioners are also appointed by the President. The Chief Election Commissioner performs as a chairman of the Election Commission of India. These appointments of the commissioners are confirmed only after approval of the Parliament. These commissioners are removed in between of their term if they fail to perform their duties by impeachment.
