Q why does thecolour of copper sulphate solution change when a iron nail is dipped in it

Because iron displaces the copper from copper sulphate, forming ferrous sulphate...
The whole process can be written as:
CuSO4 + Fe ------> FeSO4 + Cu

••Iron is more reactive than copper, so it displace copper from its solution and becomes colourless liquid as shown in below reaction:-

Fe + CuSO4 ➡ FeSO4 + Cu
