Food security means availability, accessibility, affordability of food to all the people at all times.

Rashtriya Khadya Suraksha adhiniyam or food security act had been passed by congress Government . Implemented by BJP government. In different state people gets 1 kg of rice or wheat ,at a rate of 1 rupees in some of subsidised outlet .

Each and every citizen of India, who is poor or below poverty line will get 5 kg of grains per head @ Rupees 1 per kg. It is the rate of Orissa prevailing. It is a scheme for poor people and underdeveloped countries to provide subsidized food to masses.

food security system in India is evolved by PDS which means Public Distribution system.before the sowing of the food grains the government fixed a price for the food that to be failed to him this is called MSP which means minimum selling price. the keypad at which is a public and the other people take the food grain is called a Issue Price.finally adolescence dealers take these food grains to the public by giving his cards such as Red green yellow cards. Because of these cards the whole system become complicated.
