On selling a watch for ₹11400, a shopkeeper loses 5℅ . For how much did he purchase it?
:
Let the cost price be x
Loss is 5% after selling it on price of Rs.11400
\
Hence , CP of watch is 12000
Loss = ₹600
Find the angles of a triangle which are in the ratio 4:3:2
Solution :
Angles of triangle are in ratio :
4 : 3 : 2
According to angle sum property sum of angles of triangle is 180°
Let,
- {Angle (1) be 4x
- Angle (2) be 3x
- Angle (3) be 2x
Therefore ,
4x + 3x + 2x = 180°
9x = 180°
x =
x = 20°
Therefore,
Hence , angles of triangle are 80°, 60°, 40° respectively.
One side of a triangle is produced and the exterior angle so formed is 120°. If the interior opposite angles be in the ratio of 3:5, find the measure of each angle of a triangle.
Solution :
One exterior angle is equals to sum of two interior angles .
Interior angles are in ratio of 3:5
Exterior angle formed is 120°
Therefore,
3x + 5x = 120°
8x = 120°
x =
15°
Therefore,
__________________________
(1) Loss is of ₹600 and CP is 12000
(2) Angle (1) = 80°
Angle (2) = 60°
Angle (3) = 40°
(3) Angle (1) = 45°
Angle (2) = 60°
