Global Warming is a process of heating up of the Earth that results in adverse effect on the environment.

  • Global warming has huge impact on ozone layers, ecological pyramids, growth of plants, animals, etc.

  • Ozone layer depletion is due to global warming that happens when cooling- warming dynamic occurs.

  • This phenomena involves the green house gasses heating the lower atmosphere( troposphere) and cooling that occurs in the upper atmosphere (stratosphere).

  • Global warming also affects the trophic levels of food chains. It results in the collapse of marine food webs.

  • When marine food webs are degraded, the next trophic levels are also affected leading to extinctions of species.

  • This further results in environment degradation. Population of one species overtakes other species and thus, stability is diminished.
