Q7. A particle starts from the rest and moves with a constant acceleration a for time t and
covers a distance X.. It continues to move with the same acceleration and covers a distance xz in
the next time intervalt. Which of the following relations is correct?
(b) X = 2x,
(c) x:= 3x,

Hey mate

if acceleration be a then using equation S=ut+at

2

/2 and putting initial velocity u=0 we get s

1

=a5

2

/2=25a/2..................... (1)

put t=15 we get distance in 15second as S=a15

2

/2=225a/2

Now distance travelled in last 10seconds will be distance in 15 second - distance in 5 second=S−s

1

=225a/2−25a/2=200a/2=100a

which is nothing but 8×25a/2 or 8s

1

So s 2 =8s 1
