Frequency of node produced and speed of sound is 320 Hz and 336 m/s respectively.

Explanation:

=> It is given that,

Cog wheel is rotated at a speed = 120 rotations/minute and

No of teeth, n = 160

=> Frequency of the rotation, f :

= 120 Rotations / 60 sec

= 2 Hz

1) Frequency of node produced, f':

f' = n*f

= 160 * 2

= 320 hz

2) Speed of sound, if wavelength is 1.05 metre, v:

v = λ * f

= 1.05 * 320

= 336 m/s

3) When speed of cog wheel is doubled:

In this case, frequency of nod increases and as a result sound becomes shrill.
