question 1: an inflated balloon bursts if you slightly push its surface with the pointed tip of a pencil however nothing happens to an inflated balloon when you push it hard with a finger why?
question 2: pointed end of a high heel sandal has a greater impact on the ground then A Flat heel sandal why?
question 3: the snow mobile can travel easily over soft snow how?

Q 1. because pressure is more in case of pointed tip of pencil. Q2.because pointed heels apply more pressure on the surface . Q3. because it has long tracks called caterpillar tracks which give it more traction.

heyya..!!
1. When you slightly push surface with pointed tip of pencil, the area in contact with the balloon is very less.. And as pressure is inversely proportional to area, if the area will be less the pressure exerted will be more.
Also, when we push it with our finger area in contact increases and thus the pressure applied will be less...
2. as the heeled sandal has a less surface area it creates more impact than a flat sandal as it has a large surface area.
3. A snowmobile has two boards similar to ski boards which makes it easier to slide through the snow. It has two wheels which are practically two large gears having large equally spaced grooves which digs into the snow and pushes it off to produce a forward motion. The major component is the engine. Higher the efficiency of the engine, faster the snowmobile paves its way through the snow
hope this satisfies uh:)
