Question 2.36 2 × 108 atoms of carbon are arranged side by side. Calculate the radius of carbon atom if the length of this arrangement is 2.4 cm.

concept : calculate diameter with help of formula
diameter =\frac{total\: length}{number\:of\:atoms}

now, here,
total length = 2.4 cm = 0.024 m
number of atoms = 2 × 10^8 atoms

diameter = 0.024/2 × 10^8 = 1.2 × 10^-10 m

but we know,
diameter = 2 × radius
so, radius = 1.2/2 × 10^-10 m = 6 × 10^-11 m
