a) The advantage of variation is that organisms are genetically different and the one which bests fits the adverse environment survives.

b) The sex chromosomes are those chromosomes which are passed from parents to offspring these determines the gender of the offspring. There are two sex chromosomes X and Y.

  • There are 23 pairs of chromosomes in a human being out of which the 22 pairs are called as autosomes and 1 pair is called as the sex chromosomes.
