(a^6 b^-4)^⅓
a^6/3 b^-4/3 = a^x . b^2y
a^2 b^-4/3 = a^x.b^2y
comparing LHS and RHS
a²=a^x => x= 2
b^-4/3 = b^2y => -4/3 =2y => -4/6 or -2/3 = y
hope this helps (got some doubts about this one though)
