covalent bond is formed by mutual sharing of electrons .
I mean when two atoms are comparable electronegativity value , share electron electron pair with each other , the bond formed is called covalent bond. The shared pair of electrons present between the bonded atoms are called Bond pair .
and the unshared pair of electrons surrounding the bonded atoms are called lone pair .
