Yes green revolution has made India self sufficient in food grains in the following ways:

a)
Increase in production:
Green revolution has increase the production of various crops many times.
The production of foodgrains was just 7.23 million tonnes in 1964- 65 which has increased to 218 million tonnes in 2009-10 .

b)

After independence India was dependent on other countries for its food grain requirements. But now our imports of food grains are negligible.
