Yes I can assure you that reproductive health in our country has improved drastically.
The way people take their heath now a days is totally different from earlier.
They are now very well aware of STDs , abortion, contraceptive, adoption .
The death rate has decreased and birth rate has increased with increasing facility of medicine and medical assistance. Food and diet has also improved.
But we still are struggling with poverty and malnourished children
The backward places still don't know importance of contraceptive and abortion and child birth .
So we still need to improve but the condition has changed for good in past 50 years.

Yes, the reproductive health has tremendously improved in India in the last 50 years. The areas of improvement are as follows.
(1) Massive child immunization programme, which has lead to a decrease in the infant mortality rate
(2) Maternal and infant mortality rate, which has been decreased drastically due to better post natal care
(3) Family planning, which has motivated people to have smaller families
(4) Use of contraceptive, which has resulted in a decrease in the rate of sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies.
