Give two examples each to support the following conclusions about the Indian Constitution:
a. The Constitution was made by credible leaders who commanded peoples’ respect.
b. The Constitution has distributed power in such a way as to make it difficult to subvert it.

ANSWER :
(a)
•Almost all the leaders like Dr Rajendra Prasad, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr. Ambedkar, Sardar Patel, Maulana Azad was the members of the constituent assembly. These all leaders represented all religions and sections of the society and they all played an important role in making the Indian constitution.
•The constituent assembly had 26 members from the schedule classes and members from religions like Hindu ,Sikh ,Muslim communities.
(b)
•The Indian Constitution has made equal arrangement of powers in the three organs of the government Judiciary, legislature and executive and the independent statutory body like the election commission. There exist an independent Supreme Court to determine the constitutionality of laws passed by the legislature and order issued by the executive.
•Indian constitution is rigid as well as flexible. Some of the articles of the Constitution can be amended by simple majority of the Parliament. Some by at least 2/3rd majority of the members of the Parliament.
(c)
•The objective resolution gave expression to the ideals and aspiration of the people of India.
•Fundamental rights mentioned in part III of the Constitution are in detail and Directive principles of State Policy are included in the constitution.
