Hey Dear,
Corresponding diagram is missing from the question. I'll add that in image.
# Answers -
(i) Initial speed of the car i.e. speed at t = 0 h, v = 10 km/h.
(ii) Graph shows maximum peak at 35 km/h. Hence, maximum speed of the car is 35 km/h .
(iii) Acceleration will be zero when speed-time graph is parallel to time axis. Hence, acceleration will be zero between B and C.
(iv) Varying retardation means curve with decreasing slope. From the graph, C to D shows varying retardation.
(v) Distance traveled from A to B,
Distance = average velocity × time
s1 = (10+35)/2 × 3
s1 = 67.5 km
Distance traveled between B to C,
Distance = velocity × time
s2 = 35 × 5
s2 = 175 km
Total distance travelled in first 8 hours is,
s = s1 + s2
s = 67.5 + 175
s = 242.5 km
Thanks dear...
