Question 7.24 Calculate

a) ΔG°and

b) the equilibrium constant for the formation of NO2 from NO and O2 at 298 K

where ΔfG° (NO2) = 52.0 kJ/mol

ΔfG° (NO) = 87.0 kJ/mol

concept :- calculate ∆G° by using the formula ,
∆G° = ∆G( products ) - ∆G( reactants )

and then, calculate equilibrium constant Kc by using the formula ,
∆G° = -2.303RTlogKc

see attachment ,
(a)\triangle{_rG\degree}=-35 KJ/mol \: \: or, 35000J/mol
 (b)K_c=1.361\times10^6
