There are several reason behind it like-

1. In many part of the country specially, in rural areas and poor areas there may not be even proper school near teacher who teach on regular bases.
2. Many families are too poor and enable to bear the cost of educating all theirs children in such a situation boys get preference.
3. If schools are not closer to people's home and there is no transport buses and vans, parents may not be willing to send their girls to school.
