Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder/observer.
- A very beautiful quote said by Plato .
It means that everything is beautiful just it is our vision/point of view.
Here eye refer to our vision /point of view .
The sense is very appropriate.
Let's take example to understand it in a good way :
There were two friends. One was Rose and other was Minal .
Both were in same class and they were neighbours too.
One day they drew some paintings. Minal was poor while Rose was rich . Rose's father was very anxious because he was very busy in his works and was not having time for his family.
On the other hand Minal's father was very calm and he spent time with his family too. So when both girls show their paintings to their fathers. Minal's father was very happy for both the girls. He gave many blessings to both girls while Rose's father was anxious so he said that you are just wasting your time. Both girls asked Minal's father about it . He replied that Rose's father is busy that's why he said so . But in reality he blessed you both. Those girls forgot about the saying of Rose's father and became happy.
Moral : Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.
