Given Diameter = 3m.

Then radius r = 3/2

                       = 1.5m.

Given Height of the well = 14m.

Given Width of embankment = 4m.

Now, The total radius = 4 + 1.5

                                     = 5.5m.

Now,

Volume of the cylinder = pir^2h

                                       = 22/7 * (1.5)^2 * 14

                                       = 99m^3.

Now,

Area = pi(R^2 - r^2)

         = 22/7(5.5^2 - 1.5^2)

         = 22/7(28)

         = 88

Therefore the height of embarkment = 99/88

                                                               = 1.125m.

Therefore the height of embarkment = 1.125m.

Hope this helps!
