discount ( d ) = 20%
sale price = mp - d
= x - 20/100 × x
= x - x/5
= 5x/5- x/5
= 4x/5
vat = 8%
sp = sale price + vat
= 4x/5 + 8/100 × 4x/5
= 4x/5 + 8x/125
= 100x/125 + 8x/125
= 108x/125
given sp = Rs 5400
