The sun does arise,

And make happy the skies.

The merry bells ring

To welcome the Spring.

The sky-lark and thrush,

The birds of the bush,

Sing louder around,

To the bells’ cheerful sound.

While our sports shall be seen

On the Ecchoing Green.

Old John, with white hair

Does laugh away care,

Sitting under the oak,

Among the old folk,

They laugh at our play,

And soon they all say.

‘Such, such were the joys.

When we all girls & boys,

In our youth-time were seen,

On the Ecchoing Green.’

Till the little ones weary

No more can be merry

The sun does descend,

And our sports have an end:

Round the laps of their mothers,

Many sisters and brothers,

Like birds in their nest,

Are ready for rest;

And sport no more seen,

On the darkening Green.

hi mate

here is your answer

ECHOING GREEN by William Blake is a poem which shows the cycle of life and death in form of a song.

2nd stanza

To the bell's cheerful sound,

While our sports could be seen

On the ECHOING GREEN.

Meaning

It tell us about the maturity. When the earlier generation[grandfathers and grandmothers] waches the younger generations having fun and joy in,they remembers their young ages when they used to do so.

3rd stanza

Till the little ones ,weary,

No one can be merry,

The sun does descend,

And our sport have an end.

Round the laps of their mothers

Many sisters and brothers,

Like birds in their nest.

Are ready for rest,

And sport no more seen

On the darkening green.

Meaning

The third stanza symbolizes death. The image of sun setting tell us that the game of life is coming towards the end.The line [ready for rest] symbolizes weariness with life, that one is preparing for the final sleep.

Also the line [Darkening green} is the final or last stage of ones life where images of grass covering a grave and contrasts with the Ecchoing Green which is growing and echoes the lives of people who lived before us.
