Let the number of books sold on Monday be m

Monday = m

She sold twice as many on Tuesday than on Monday

Tuesday = 2m

She sold 6 fewer books than on Tuesday:

Wednesday = 2m - 6

Form equation:

m + 2m + 2m - 6 = 19

5m - 6 = 19

Solve for m:

5m - 6 = 19

5m = 25

m = 5

Find the number of books sold each day:

Monday = m = 5

Tuesday = 2m = 2(5) = 10

Wednesday = 2(5) - 6 = 4

Answer: Monday 5 books, Tuesday 10 books, Wednesday 4 books
