Given :

Price of flat = Rs. 10 lakhs

Price of car = Rs. 320000

Rate of appreciation on flat = 20%

Rate of depreciation on car = 15%

Number of years = 3

To find :

His profit/loss = ?

Solution :

Price of flat after 3 years would be :

A=1000000(1+\dfrac{20}{100})^3\\\\A=1728000

Price of car after 3 years would be :

A=320000(1-\dfrac{15}{100})^3\\\\A=196520

So, Total price after 3 years would be :

1728000+196520\\\\=Rs.\ 1924520

Total price before 3 years would be :

1000000+320000=1320000

So, There will be profit of :

1924520-1320000\\\\=604520

Hence, There will be profit of Rs. 604520.
