Let the minimum marks for passing be 500 then only at 515 marks rahul will get 3 percent more than the minimum percentage of passing, as 515/500 = 1.03 that is 3 percent more than the passing marks.

Now 710/500 = 1.42 hence mohan is 42 percent more than the minimum passing percent.
