Hi

Rainfall, soil conservation and depleting forest resources are interlinked to one another. Soil is the weathered form of rock which remains fertile by presence of humus. Soil can be prevented from erosion by growing plants and trees on it, as roots hold the soil. So, if forest are cut down on large scale, quality of soil also gets affected . Soil becomes infertile and the fertile land is turned easily into barren land that can no longer support the growth of new trees. Depleting forest resources also affect the rainfall pattern, as transpiration from trees play a great part in water cycle. If trees would not be there then soil will be not there to soak the water underground. In this way underground resources of water would also get depleted. If proper amount of underground water would not be , then this would also become problem for the growth of new plants

The rainfall, depleting forest resources and soil conservation is as follows:

Explanation:

  • The rainfall is necessary for restoring the water cycle on earth the water from the water bodies and from the terrestrial bodies get evaporated to become the part of the clouds. The water precipitate in the form of rain on earth from the atmosphere.
  • The rainfall is necessary for retaining the moisture level and fertility of the soil.  Without rainfall the soil will loose moisture content, the soil will become loose and soil erosion will result.
  • The depleting forest resources are dependent upon both rainfall and soil conservation. The drying up and wastage of water reservoir worldwide has affected the water cycle. Thus the forests do not receive appreciable amount of rainfall this is likely to affect the forest resource as the trees will not receive the water necessary for photosynthesis also the soil will become infertile due to lack of water. This will result in desertification. The forests resources like wood, medicines and food will deplete.
