Answer:

Distance = 314 metres

Displacement = 0 metres

Explanation:

Given :

  • Diameter of the circular field = 100 metres

  • One round is completed

To find :

  • Distance and Displacement of ram

Circumference of the circular field = 2 × 3.14 × r

r = 100/2 = 50 metres

Circumference = 2×3.14×50

Circumference = 6.28×50

Circumference = 314 metres

Distance travelled = 314 metrrs

At the end of 1 round Ram would return back to his initial position and hence his Displacement will be equal to 0 metres

Displacement = 0 metres

Given :

⭐ Diameter of circular path = 100m

⭐ No. of turns = 1

To Find :

⭐ Distance travelled and displacement of the body after completing a round.

Concept :

⤵ Distance is defined as the actual length of path that is covered by moving object.

  • Scalar quantity
  • Always positive
  • Only magnitude
  • SI unit : m

⤵ Displacement is defined as the shortest distance b/w initial and final position of intire journey.

  • Vector quantity
  • Positive/Negative or Zero
  • Both magnitude + direction
  • SI unit : m

Calculation :

Distance :

\implies\sf\:Distance=perimeter\:of\:circle\\ \\ \implies\sf\:Distance=2\pi\times r\\ \\ \implies\sf\:Distance=2(3.14)\times \dfrac{100}{2}\\ \\ \implies\bf\:Distance=314m

Displacement :

\implies\sf\:Displacement = \Delta{Position}\\ \\ \dag\sf\:After\:one\:round,\:Initial\:position=Final\:position\\ \\ \implies\bf\:Displacement=zero
