Mechanism of conversion:

The bacteria, named Lactobacillus is responsible for changing of milk into curd by converting lactose into lactic acid. This lowers the pH of the milk.

  • Protozoa: It is a category of organisms under Kingdom Protista. There are various types of protozoans like ameboid, flagellated, etc.  Example - Amoeba, Trypanosoma, Plasmodium, etc.
